Exhibitor WarningHere are some potential scams and misleading emails to look out for. Just a reminder to exhibitors/attendees, the massPLASTICS Trade Show has NEVER and WILL NOT sell your contact information to any individuals. Please watch out for various con artists trying to claim to be associated with us. Although we do use numerous 3rd party vendors we will surely inform you about them or you can find their information on our website. Below are some to watch out for. If you receive any letters, emails, or anything that looks suspicious don't hesitate to contact us so that we are made aware of any problems.

B2B List World

This company has various 1-800 phone numbers and a website. They claim to sell exhibitors a list of attendees by misleading exhibitors to believe they are associated with us. We ARE NOT affiliated with them in anyway and we do not encourage dealing with such a deceptive organization. Their email might look something like this:

I understand that you are one of the exhibitors in the massPLASTICS tradeshow. Are you interested in sending an email invitation to 6,000 Pre-registrants or 300 plus exhibitors? Are you interested in acquiring the entire 6,000 massPLASTICS Pre-registrants with emails? If yes, we can certainly assist you with a ready to use email list at a very economical cost.

Please find few samples of Pre-registrants attached for your review and the documents which will explain the list compiling process and the data sources used to compile the data with email address. You can also send Pre-Show Invitation mailers using these lists or we can help you schedule email campaigns too to this list. You can also plan some Post-Show follow-up mailers to get the best ROI from this event. Grab this offer at a very economical cost.

Let me know your thoughts on this and a convenient time for a quick call.

Wish you all the best for the massPLASTICS Tradeshow.

Fair Guide

Several of our massPLASTICS exhibitors have informed us that they are receiving deceptively worded solicitations from "Fair Guide" (owned by Construct Data) for listings in its directory. This is part of a world-wide SCAM by a group of rogue traders. massPLASTICS and the show’s producer, the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, have no connection to "Fair Guide" or the company Construct Data. To avoid possible unwarranted and/or unnecessary financial commitments, we urge you to beware of this con.

We have notified the United States Federal Trade Commission and the Austrian Government of Construct Data's activities. The advice from the Austrian Embassy is to ignore Construct Data's invitations to be listed in its guide and/or requests for payment. In 2006, a German Court affirmed that Construct Data's unsolicited invitations are formulated in such a way that there is an intention to deceive and contravenes German law. More information on this fraud is available online at http://www.stopecg.org/construct_data_fairguide.htm

We’re looking forward to the next massPLASTICS trade show on March 26 &27, 2008. The show is already shaping-up to be very successful and I hope you’ll be a part of it. If you have any questions, please call Bud Arbo at (978) 353-7600 ext 242.
